OA Ledger Terms of Service

Version 2026-01 · Effective 1 January 2026

These terms explain how OA Ledger works and what we each agree to. We have written them in simple language for small-business owners. By creating an account you accept these terms.

1. What OA Ledger does

OA Ledger is a digital shop manager. It helps you record sales, purchases, expenses, goods and stock, customers, suppliers and money people owe you. It also creates simple receipts, summaries and reports so you can see how your business is doing.

OA Ledger is a recordkeeping tool. It is not professional accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. For tax filing or official accounts, speak to a qualified professional.

2. Voice features are optional

You can use OA Ledger fully with buttons and forms. The voice assistant is optional. If you use it, your microphone is only accessed when you press the microphone button, and we always read the details back for you to confirm before anything is saved. You can turn voice off at any time in Settings.

3. Your account

You must give correct registration information and keep your password, PIN and phone secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access. Do not share one account between people who should not see each other's business records.

4. Your records are yours

The information you enter belongs to you. Each business's records are private. Other businesses on OA Ledger cannot see them, and OA Ledger administrators do not view your individual sales, expenses, profits, debts or transactions. See the Privacy Policy for the limited account information staff can access.

You are responsible for entering accurate figures. OA Ledger calculates totals from what you enter — if the entry is wrong, the report will be wrong.

5. Offline use and synchronisation

OA Ledger works offline and saves your entries on your device. When internet returns, entries sync to your account. Sync can be delayed by poor network, a full device, or signing out before syncing. Service may also be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

6. Backups and keeping your own records

We keep automatic cloud backups, but no backup system is perfect. Please keep your own copies of important business records (for example, download your reports regularly). We are not responsible for loss of data caused by device damage, lost devices, deleted accounts or long periods offline.

7. Emails, notifications and password recovery

We send you account emails such as sign-up confirmation, password recovery, security alerts, low-stock alerts and business summaries. Account and security emails cannot be turned off while your account is active; summaries and alerts can be turned off in Settings. Password recovery links are sent to your registered email and expire after a short time.

8. Things you must not do

Do not use OA Ledger for illegal trade, fraud, money laundering, or to store other people's data without their permission. Do not attempt to access another business's records, break our security, overload the service, or copy the app. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we will tell you why where we can.

9. Subscriptions, billing and refunds

Some OA Ledger features may be free and others paid. If you subscribe, the price, billing period and payment method are shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time from Settings — access continues until the end of the period you paid for. Refunds are not automatic; if you were charged in error, contact support within 14 days and we will look into it. Your subscription payments to OA Ledger are separate from your own business finances.

10. Downloading or deleting your information

You can download your business information as reports at any time. You can also permanently delete your account from Settings. Deletion removes your business records from active systems; residual copies in backups are removed on our normal backup cycle. Deletion cannot be undone, so download what you need first.

11. Service changes and ending the agreement

We may improve, change or stop features. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app or by email. You may stop using OA Ledger at any time. We may end an account for serious or repeated breaches of these terms.

12. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep OA Ledger available and accurate, but we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profit, lost sales or indirect losses arising from use of the app or from errors in the information entered.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we will show you the new version in the app and ask you to review and accept it before you continue. We record the date, time and version you accepted.

14. Support, governing law and disputes

For help or complaints, contact olalara08@gmail.com or use Help & Support inside the app. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will always try to resolve disputes with you directly first; if that fails, disputes will be handled by the courts of Nigeria.
